The Skyblade is Loftsails’ race-focused foil sail engineered to deliver maximum top speed and control for low-drag hydrofoils, developed fully in line with PWA rules. Its radically high aspect ratio, wide mast pocket and reduced vertical shaping produce an aerodynamic profile optimized for sustained flight, fast transitions and confident gybes. Construction combines lightweight quad-axial x-ply and IYU250 woven mast pocket materials with x-ply panels in the window, leech and foot, plus bi-ply top panels for superior UV and catastrophic-failure resistance. A double-layer, stretch-resistant tendon runs head-to-tack behind the mast to preserve pocket shape over time, while the downhaul roller is bonded through three layers for a firm, smooth-rotating leading edge. Metallic Cam Interfaces at all camber contact points protect materials from wear under high trim tensions and extend service life. The 5.0 comes supplied with one TekCam2 RDM camber set, making it ready for race-ready foil rigs and competitive foil sailors.
